COMPOSITION
BLUMOX - P DT
Each Dispersible Tablet Contains:
Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP Equivalent to Amoxycillin 125 mg
 
BLUMOX - 250 DT
Each Dispersible Tablet Contains:
Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP Equivalent to Amoxycillin 250 mg
 
BLUMOX - 500 Capsule
Each Hard Gelatin Capsule Contains:
Amoxicyllin Trihydrate IP Equivalent to Amoxycillin 500 mg
 
INDICATIONS
BLUMOX (Amoxycillin) is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains which include respiratory tract infections, gastroenteritis, endocarditis, gonorrhoea, otitis media, pneumonia, biliary tract infection, actinomycosis and urinary tract infections.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Oral: Usual oral dosage is 250 mg every 8 hrs. Treatment should be continued for 2-3 days after disappearance of signs and symptoms. In gonorrhoea, a single dose of 3 gms is sufficient. Similarly 2 gms may be given for prophylaxis of endocarditis, I hr before the dental procedure.

Adults: 250 mg. thrice daily for 5-10 days, in mild to moderate infections. 500 mg thrice daily for 5-10 days, in severe infections.

Children: Upto 10 yrs. of age may be given 125-250 mg every 8 hrs. Under 20 kg body wt., dose of 20- 40 mg/kg/day is suggested.

The tablet should be dispersed in water immediately before use.

BLUMOX-P DT: 15 tablets per strip.
BLUMOX 250 DT: 15 tablets per strip.
BLUMOX 500 Capsules: 10 capsules per strip.
