COMPOSITION
AZIBEST 100 DT
Each Dispersible Tablet contains:
Azithromycin Dihydrate IP equivalent to Azithromycin (anhydrous) 100 mg
 
AZIBEST 250 Tablets
Each Film Coated Tablet Contains:
Azithromycin Dihydrate IP equivalent to Azithromycin (anhydrous) 250 mg
 
AZIBEST 500 Tablets
Each Film Coated Tablet Contains:
Azithromycin Dihydrate IP equivalent to Azithromycin (anhydrous) 500 mg
 
INDICATIONS
AZIBEST is indicated to treat infections caused by susceptible organisms such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urogenital and sexually transmitted disease.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Oral:
In Adults:
Dosage in LRTI, ENT infections & skin and soft-tissue infections:
(i) 500 mg on 1st day and 250 mg on 2nd to 5th day (Total 1.5 gm)
Or
(ii) 500 mg OD for three days (Total 1.5 gm)
Dosage in Urogenital and sexually transmitted diseases:
1 gm as a single dose.

In children:
Upper and lower respiratory tract and skin and soft tissue infections: 10mg/kg body weight azithromycin once daily for 3 days.
Or
10mg/kg body wt. on day 1 followed by 5mg/kg body wt per day on days 2-5. Azithromycin should be taken 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal.

HOW SUPPLIED
AZIBEST 100 DT: 3 tablets per strip.
AZIBEST 250 Tablets: 6 tablets per strip.
AZIBEST 500 Tablets: 3 tablets per strip.
